Membership in the 24 Hour Association is open to all full- and part-time foreign residents of San Miguel de Allende.

The nonprofit 24 Hour Association provides two basic services:

Cremation with or without an above-ground niche.

Burial in an above-ground crypt or in a grave.

The Association’s niches, crypts and graves are in a special section within the Panteón de Guadalupe cemetery, which includes perpetual care. The cemetery is open 7 days a week from 9 am – 6 pm.

Our fees follow (all prices in Mexican pesos).

All services include collection of body, burial or cremation permits, transportation permits, the death certificate and a certified copy of the death certificate, and perpetual care for individuals buried in a plot or placed in a crypt or a niche in the 24 Hour Association’s graveyard.

Important Note: The certified copy of the death certificate is essential for closing bank accounts, telephone, internet, electricity, and other services. It can also be provided to institutions that may request it within Mexico. You are permitted to make as many certified copies as necessary, and there is no requirement to purchase more than one.
